Woman tries to catch imaginary bugs

Kalispell Police Department received a report from a customer with a discerning sense of smell who said a First Avenue East store “reeked of weed.”

Officers made several DUI arrests during traffic stops late Friday night into Saturday morning. At 11:21 p.m. Friday, a man was arrested on First Avenue West. At 11:35 p.m., a man was arrested on Nicholson Drive. At 12:40 a.m., a woman was arrested on South Meridian Road.

Three boys were seen walking on Sixth Street West carrying three rifles or pellet guns.

A woman in a Third Avenue West apartment was reported trying to catch bugs that weren’t there.

An Appleway Drive boy reported his mother was drunk and trying to kick him out. She told officers she was kicking him out due to his drinking and drug activity.

A woman reported someone sprayed a greasy type of chemical on her vehicle on Liberty Street.

A man was arrested on North Main Street for contempt of court after failing a breath alcohol test.

A man was arrested for theft after being caught shoplifting from a Hutton Ranch Road business.


A Whitefish Police Department officer spoke with a man claiming to be Barack Obama after an East Fourth Street resident received phone calls from a scam artist claiming she had won $1 million. The man was advised not to call the resident anymore.

An extremely drunk man was arrested after trying to break into a vehicle on Baker Avenue.

A drunk driver  nearly caused three accidents driving in the middle of Shiloh Avenue.

An officer assisted a man crawling in the middle of East First Street.

A man hit at least three people on Central Avenue.

A 13-year-old girl was bit by a dog while she was walking home from school on Fir Avenue.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report from a confused First Avenue West North resident who said a man tried to come into the house and give the resident a $1,000 ticket, but didn’t say what kind. The resident told the man “I’m not interested” and shut the door.


Polson Police Department officers arrested a person for shoplifting from a U.S. 93 supermarket.
