Bat carrier feels like a threat
Sunday afternoon, a Glenwood Drive man told Kalispell Police he’s been having problems with a neighbor and felt threatened because the man was sitting outside with a baseball bat. Officers responded to the home and spoke with both of the parties and advised no threats were made on Sunday.
Parts were reportedly stolen from a vehicle on West Railroad Street.
A woman told police that her 31-year-old mentally ill son won $800 at a casino on Friday night and hasn’t been seen since.
Saturday night, a driver suspected of possibly being intoxicated crashed into a barrier at Hutton Ranch Road and West Reserve Drive.
Earlier on Saturday, a caller on North Main Street reported vehicle keys stolen. The vehicle was broken into and cash was stolen from it.
A caller reported two kids on the roof of a building on U.S. 93. Officers were unable to locate them.
Someone broke into a house on Fifth Avenue East.
A man was reportedly trying to punch another man in a parking lot on South Main Street.
A First Avenue East North man complained to police that a man in a dark blue van was taking pictures of him and would not say why he was doing it. Officers said the man was just practicing taking pictures with his new camera, but was advised to not draw attention to himself.
Someone reported a terrible marijuana smell coming from apartments on North Main Street. Officers spoke with a tenant. She was advised to tell her roommate to stop because of the complaints.
Police cited a woman for shoplifting at a business on U.S. 93.
Saturday night, an employee on Ninth Street West told Columbia Falls Police that a man who was refused alcohol came back and was yelling at customers. The man left before police could arrive but was later stopped by Kalispell Police.
A woman on Franlou Park Lane said a neighbor backed into her vehicle and left without stopping.
Early Sunday morning, Whitefish Police escorted several intoxicated people from a hotel after an employee there had repeatedly tried to get the people to quiet down.
Saturday afternoon, a Flathead Avenue man stopped by the police station to ask about a ticket and see if his wallet has been turned in.
Earlier in the morning, a Baker Avenue man told officers he was approached by someone on Friday night who said they were with the police department and started getting in his face.
