Western B divisional basketball at Flathead High School

Bigfork’s third-ranked boys will open the Western B divisional basketball tournament on Thursday at Flathead High School.

Bigfork (16-4), the top seed from 7B, will face 6B fourth seed St. Ignatius (7-14) at 11:20 a.m.

Top-ranked Florence (19-1), the top seed from 6B, will play 7B fourth seed Eureka (1-20) at 4 p.m.

On the girls side, Eureka (13-7), the top seed from 7B, faces 6B fourth seed St. Ignatius (8-13) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at FHS in a first-round game.

Bigfork (8-13), the third seed from 7B, tangles with Missoula Loyola (8-12), the second seed from 6B, at 7:45 p.m.

Fourth-ranked Deer Lodge (19-1), the top 6B seed, meets Plains (10-10), the fourth seed from 7B, at 1 p.m. in the girls first game of the tournament.

Ninth-ranked Florence (14-6), the third seed from 6B, plays Thompson Falls (11-9), the second seed from 7B, at 2:45 p.m.

Boys semifinal games will be played at 4 and 5:45 p.m. on Friday. For girls, semifinal games are set for Thursday at 7:30 and 9:15 p.m.

The girls championship game will take place 9:15 p.m. on Friday.

The boys championship game is 8:45 p.m. on Saturday.

If a challenge game is necessary, that will be played on Monday.

The top two teams, boys and girls, advance to state, March 7-9 in Butte.
