AA basketball: Glacier girls rip Hellgate

MISSOULA — Glacier doubled the score on Missoula Hellgate in the opening quarter and the fifth-ranked Wolfpack rolled from there to an easy 68-36 Western AA girls basketball victory Friday night.

Glacier wrapped up the regular season with a 16-4 record overall, going 9-3 in league games.

Hellgate falls to 1-19, 0-12.

Glacier enjoyed a 35-15 advantage on The Knights at the half.

Hailee Bennett scored 12 points and Hannah Atlee 10 to pace Glacier. Cassi Hashley finished with nine points and nine rebounds.

Up next for Glacier and Hellgate are Class AA state play-in games next week. Glacier will host a game while Hellgate will have a road contest.
