A caller on First Avenue West told Kalispell Police that he was arguing with his father-in-law Sunday evening when the man threw a chef’s knife at him.
A Greatview Drive man wanted to talk to officers about a neighbor who threatened to run over his son Sunday morning. The man said he let it go at the time, but later stopped by to talk to the neighbor, who flew off the handle and started cussing at him.

Early Monday morning, a woman reported a man in black who was acting strange, staggering all over Second Street West and seemed to be following her. Officers talked to the man and advised he was just an employee headed to work.

A burglary was reported on Sunny View Lane. A caller reported finding a window open and drugs missing inside.
A store employee on U.S. 93 found a Chihuahua in some lumber. The employee kept the lost dog in the lumber department until officers picked it up and took it to the animal shelter.
A Capistrano Drive man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office he returned home early Monday morning and found windows broken out of his garage and criminal mischief done to his house.
A man on Terry Road called deputies to express concern about blue fumes that were coming out of his TV and air that was blowing out of a vehicle parked outside. Deputies responded to the house and advised the man has mental issues.
Sunday night, extra patrols were requested on Lenwood Lane. A woman there was feeling uneasy after a stranger knocked on her door, asked for someone who doesn’t live there and then asked for her daughter’s name, which she did not provide.
Earlier in the day, a caller who sounded drunk said a Harmony Road man on probation has been snorting pills and smoking marijuana. When asked for more details about the drug use, the caller said he was just trying to report a stolen iPhone.
Someone tried to break into a coffee shop on Montana 35 but failed to get inside.
A grandmother in a custody battle with a girl’s father was fighting with the man over the girl’s bike. She said the man came on her property, took the bike and was refusing to return it.
A Hungry Horse woman asked deputies if she’s allowed to pull kids on sleds behind her four-wheeler. Deputies advised she is.
An Ezy Drive caller had questions about a contract and puppies that were never paid for.
Someone stole a jacket and $10 from an unlocked truck on U.S. 93 near Whitefish.
A caller at a school on West Evergreen Drive said he saw two men get out of a small Toyota pickup with a camper, smash his car’s window and steal his wife’s purse. The men then drove off.
A .44 magnum was reported stolen on Montana 35. The door was locked but a front window was not, the caller said.
Someone stole a painting from a bar in Bigfork.
Sunday morning, two men were fighting over a firearm. One said he wanted to pick up his gun. The other reportedly threatened to shoot the man if he showed up and wanted to turn the gun over to law enforcement. Deputies ran the gun’s serial number and found it had been reported stolen in Lake County.
