The Glacier National Park Conservancy Board of Trustees has designated $30,000 to fund four projects in Glacier.

The grants are in addition to nine earlier grants to Glacier National Park for 2013 projects.

The grants will help fund:

 v A museum storage project.

v Construction of an overlook at Redrocks parking area.

 v Bearproof storage lockers.

v Support for youth volunteer groups.

The money comes from the sale of Montana Glacier National Park specialty license plates as well as annual fund donors.

“We are fortunate to have so many wonderful donors — locally and across the country — who love Glacier National Park and understand the importance of giving back to ensure that others will be able to enjoy the Park well into the future,” said Jane Ratzlaff of the Glacier National Park Conservancy .

There are many other projects that still need to be funded in 2013. People who would like to support any of these projects in Glacier can go to the group’s donation page — http://www.glacierfund.org/GIVE/general_donation.htm.

The Glacier National Park Conservancy is the official nonprofit fundraising and retail partner for Glacier National Park. Its mission is to create a connection to Glacier National Park through outreach, philanthropy, education and interpretation.
