Teens looking for a ride raise suspicion

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate a pair of suspicious teenagers who entered an Electric Avenue store in Bigfork and asked for a ride to Missoula or Kalispell. The boy and girl — who claimed to be brother and sister — couldn’t get their stories straight and were carrying duffel bags.

An upset owner of a dog that was reportedly chasing deer on a neighboring property on Wintercrest Drive told the responding deputy that enforcing the county animal-at-large ordinance was a slap in the face to the liberty movement and the Tea Party.

A mother trying to handle a distraught child reported her 8-year-old was traumatized after her 16-year-old son assaulted him, tying him up and putting tape over his mouth on U.S. 2 East in Coram.

The boys escaped, but their antics were caught on video.

A man reportedly trying to break into every house along Fifth Avenue East turned out to be a man putting up door hangers.
