Elvis tribute band plays concert at Bigfork center
Did you miss you chance to see the King in concert? Always regret never catching Elvis Presley in his prime?
Ryan Pelton is bringing the next best thing to Bigfork with his Elvis Tribute — Farewell Tour.
He is widely regarded as one of the world's best Elvis tribute artists, and now will launch his farewell tour in Montana. Pelton and his six-piece band, The Difference, will perform at 8 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
Pelton recently achieved a longtime dream: He recently wrapped up filming on the movie “The Identical.” He plans to pursue a full-time acting career and so will hang up his black leather jumpsuit for good, after this final tour.
He has performed all over the world, including in two sold-out shows in Bigfork in 2010. Pelton is the only tribute artist to have been booked to perform at Graceland, Presley’s home in Memphis, Tenn.
In his live show, Pelton will take the audience on a journey through all the eras of Presley’s amazing career — from the raw-edged 1950s through the light-hearted movie era, to the electrifying Sixty-Eight Comeback Special, and of course the powerful Las Vegas years.
“Ryan sells out venues all over the country," promoter John Raymond said. "You will want to get your tickets early for this final performance. In the words of Elvis himself, 'It's now or never!’”
Tickets are available online at bigforktheater.org and at Merry Gems in Bigfork. Call 837-1476 for more information.
