ALERT picks up injured snowmobiler

An ALERT helicopter was dispatched to Canyon Creek Road to pick up a snowmobiler who had sustained a possible broken shoulder in an accident. The Hungry Horse Fire Department was the first agency on the scene.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was dragged into a dispute between landlords and renters on Willow Glen Drive. A woman reported she was moving out and the landlord told her she couldn’t take her vehicle with her because she owed him money. The landlord also reportedly threatened to burn down the house if she didn’t move out by the end of the day. The renter’s agreement said if the renter didn’t pay rent, she would have to leave the vehicle behind.

Officers arrested a man after his neighbor reported he was threatening to kill his family and his dogs before standing in the middle of Parliament Drive and saying he was going to blow their heads off. The neighbor said police had been out the day before because the man was stealing wood from them.

An East Evergreen Drive man said there was another man who has it “out for him” because the man’s girlfriend regularly comes into the gas station where he works and that the man thinks there is something going on between them.

A Bigfork man called to complain that his son has been stealing from school and has not gotten in any trouble yet.

Someone cut a hole in the fence of a Jellison Road business, and a representative from the business worried that the person responsible would be back to steal wire.

Someone damaged the windows of a Pleasant Valley Road bar in Marion by shooting paintballs at them.

A Scenic Drive resident reported someone was living in a camper on the back of his property without permission.

Someone smashed the windows to and burglarized a vehicle on a car lot on Bernard Road.

Someone stole mail from a mailbox on Montana 40 West in Columbia Falls, emptying a package and leaving the box behind.

A man was arrested after driving into another vehicle in a Woodland Park Drive parking lot.

A woman was assaulted by two other women on U.S. 2 West in Marion.

A 17-year-old girl was apprehended while attempting to steal from a U.S. 2 East business in Kalispell.

A man turned himself in on a warrant in Columbia Falls.

Copper wire was stolen from a business on Cooperative Way.

A College Avenue resident contacted the Kalispell Police Department after discovering firewood had been stolen and finding footprints leading away. A transient was located who admitted taking the wood. The resident chose to not have charges pursued.

An Alabama resident reported coming to Kalispell to meet a woman, and while in the shower of their motel room, the woman left with his cellphone.

A man was reported trying to sell items to customers in the parking lot of the business on U.S. 93 South.

A College Avenue resident complained of fireworks in the area.

Someone shot a firework at a vehicle on North Meridian Road.

A woman contacted the Whitefish Police Department after $18,000 worth of insulin and other medication was stolen from her daughter at a fast food restaurant on U.S. 93 South. She believed her other, estranged daughter — who works at the restaurant — took the items.

A man was arrested during a traffic stop on East Fifth Street.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a rare positive call stemming from one woman’s tragedy when she called to say that her son had died Sunday night, but wanted to thank everyone for the help they gave.

Someone used a slingshot to shoot rocks at a vehicle on Columbia Mountain Court.
