Betty Ann Fields, 84

Betty Ann Fields, 84, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell with her family at her side.  

She was born to Claire and Amanda Coutts on April 2, 1928.

She was raised and schooled in Mobridge, S.D. After high school, she went to California where she attended business school and worked for Goodyear Tire Company.

Betty met her first husband, Joseph M. Becker and had a daughter, Barbara. Joe was killed in the Korean War. She then met Lile L. Fields and added another daughter, Pam, and Lile's son, John, to her family.

Betty and her family lived in California until 1964, when they moved to Kalispell, where she helped her husband ranch and farm, and raise their family.

Betty and Lile were married over forty years. She was a longtime member of the Mountain View Birthday Club.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Amanda Coutts; one brother, Don Coutts; both husbands, Joseph Becker and Lile Fields; and one son-in-law, Charles Domgard.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Domgard of Kalispell, and Pam Clarke and husband Harold of Columbia Falls; one son, John Fields of Bigfork; her grandchildren, Brad Townsend and wife Destiny of Kalispell, and Jessica Young and fiancé Shane of Oklahoma; and great-grandchildren, Chance Young, Trinity Young, Zayden Townsend and Abbigail Townsend; with many more family and friends.  

Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place in the spring.
