Foot chase after car chase results in arrest

Deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after a foot chase on Sunset Drive. The deputies were following a vehicle when its occupants jumped out and ran. One deputy was treated for a cut on his head after catching it on barbed wire during the chase.

An unruly parent was reported after going onto the court during a basketball game in Bigfork and threatening to beat up the coach after the game. The principal later advised that the school did not wish to press charges and just wanted the man to leave without confronting anyone else.

A protective Trails End Drive father reported a girl was spreading rumors about his daughter and that his daughter would “kick her (expletive)” if it didn’t stop.

A Coram Stage Road woman reported a herd of elk was eating the hay for her horse. She was advised to secure the hay bales somewhere that the elk couldn’t access, and to call back if she needed assistance with hay to feed the horse.

One woman was arrested and another transported to a Mountain View Drive home after the pair were in a vehicle that went into a ditch on U.S. 2 East in West Glacier.

Tools were stolen from a Mountain Meadow Road home, some of which showed up at a pawn shop. Tools were also stolen from a construction trailer on Montana 206.


Kalispell Police Department officers responded to a Kalispell bar after receiving a report of a drunk man throwing chairs and threatening employees. Officers were told there had been a drunk man causing issues, but that it had been resolved and the man was gone. The man later returned, but the bartender told police he was not causing a problem and was welcome to stay as long as he remained calm.

A Hilltop Avenue woman returned home to find her bedroom window open. The woman reported blood pressure medication missing and that it had appeared that someone had been inside the home.

A man was banned from a fast food restaurant on East Idaho Street after going in the women’s bathroom and yelling obscenities at an employee. In the past, the man rubbed feces all over the women’s bathroom.

A Kalispell bar reported a group of “shady kids” who keep returning to the bar a couple times a day even though they have been asked not to be on the property since they look under 21 years of age.

A Hilltop Avenue woman told police she heard her front door open and when she checked later her purse was gone.

A laptop and medication were stolen from a vehicle in a parking lot on U.S. 93 North.


A pervert was reported to the Whitefish Police Department after walking up to a 14-year-old girl in the library, asking her questions including “Are you uncomfortable?” while fondling himself. A West Third Street resident returned home to find their back door kicked in and several items missing.
