Catch country couple in concert Feb. 9

| January 16, 2013 6:00 PM

The Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts hosts two up-and-coming singers in its fourth annual Valentine’s Day event.

Ashlee Hewitt and Jesse Keith Whitley will perform at the center Feb. 9.

Hewitt has been hand-picked by the judges of NBC’s “The Voice” to be a featured performer on the nationally syndicated show. She got her start in 2007 as a backup singer for country star Lorrie Morgan, and then competed in the sixth season of “Nashville Star.”

After her fifth-place finish on that show, Hewitt landed the leading role in “Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale.”

Now Hewitt and her husband, Whitley — son of country stars Morgan and Keith Whitley — are performing across the country. Their Bigfork show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 each and are available at www.bigforktheatre.org and at Merry Gems in Bigfork. For more information, call 837-4885.
