Ernest William Bill Scott Jr., 62
Ernest William “Bill” Scott Jr., passed away Jan. 15, 2013.
Bill was born in Tulare, Calif., to Ernest and Dixie Scott on June 23, 1950. He graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1967 and soon enlisted in the U.S. Marines, serving overseas in Okinawa, Japan.
Upon returning home, he worked in construction and farming industries. Bill was a talented carpenter and mechanic, following in his dad’s footsteps.
He was always in love with the outdoors and was often found with family or friends on camping, fishing or hunting trips, even to out-of-state destinations. It was that love that led him to ranching jobs in Colorado and Washington, then to Montana, which won his heart as much as his future wife, Pearl.
He was a 14-year resident of Kila at the time of his death.
Bill is survived by his wife, Pearl; a sister, Trudy Pascoe, in California; and numerous family and friends who will miss him greatly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
