Glacier girls beat Libby

Katie Wiley matched her season-scoring high with 13 points and Cassi Hashley also totaled 13 as Glacier whipped Libby 60-27 in nonconference girls basketball play Tuesday evening at Glacier High School.

Class AA Glacier (6-2) led 15-3 and 34-11 after the first two quarter stops.

Hannah England topped Class A Libby (1-9) in scoring with nine points.

“We’re sharing the ball really well,” Glacier coach Kris Salonen said.

“We’re doing a real good job with that. We’re playing good team ball right now, getting everyone involved.”

Glacier is back on the court Thursday with a nonconference contest at Class A Whitefish.

FV Homeschool 67, OT

BROWNING — Maggie Rajkowski netted 22 points, Hannah Seely 17 and Mariah Kiehn 16 in a balanced display by Flathead Valley Homeschool, but Browning’s JV still pulled out a seven-point win in overtime.

FVHS trailed by 19 heading into the final quarter, but hit five 3s and went 9-for-10 from the free throw line. Rajkowski nailed a 3 with 2.1 seconds left to force OT. She had 15 points in the fourth quarter.

Seely had five treys for FVHS.

Five players scored at least nine points as Glacier blew away Libby at home.

The Wolfpack opened up a 22-6 lead after the first quarter and were on top 41-12 at half.

Kyle Griffith, Evan Epperly and Ryan Edwards each scored 10 points to lead Glacier. Matt Peters and Bryan Michaels scored nine each.

Jared Winslow stuffed the stat sheet for Libby, leading the Loggers in every category. Winslsow scored a game-high 11 points and had five rebounds and three assists.

Whitefish JV 46

Josh Bray tossed in 25 points, nine in the third quarter, as Stillwater Christian slipped past the Whitefish JV in a nonconference contest at Stillwater Christian School.

Stillwater (8-4) led 23-15 at the half and 39-31 heading into the final eight minutes of action.

Bray finsihed with four treys on the night.

Art Doorn tallied 19 points to power the Whitefish JV. He scored 16 points in the final half and had three 3s.

SCS leaders were Cole Moore in rebounds (five), Noah Hashley in assists (five) and Bray in steals (four).
