Preparing for Mardi Gras
Jennifer Li works on a mask she is creating for the Hockaday Museum's Mardi Gras in Montana which is a free event that will be held on Saturday, February 9, from 5-9 p.m. The event is a benefit for the museum which will feature a silent auction of masks made by several local artists, free masking making for children and adults, face painting, music, Southern and Creole from the North Bay Grille, and drinks by Whistling Andy's of Bigfork. Li said she drew her inspiration for the mask from the work of artist Edward Gorey whose drawing she describes as "cute but also creepy." (Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)
