Raymond Albert Zebro, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell.
Ray was born on March 7, 1936. He was confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in 1948. He graduated from Bruce High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Ray attended business school from 1958 to 1960 and received a degree from the Institute of Banking in 1959.
Ray married Lois A. Ramberg in 1971. Ray started his career in the U.S. Air Force, was stationed in Germany, worked in business management and ended his career in sales before retiring in 2004. Ray enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, camping, snowmobiling and spending time with family and friends. He was a UFO and alien enthusiast and loved building remote control and model airplanes. He also loved Harley Davidsons, crossword puzzles, the Green Bay Packers and old model cars.
Ray was a member of the Northwest Montana Trap Club, Lions Club and the Moose Lodge, a hunter safety instructor and a volunteer fireman.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. and Kathleen M. Zebro; his sister, Dorothy Fitzgerald; and his son-in-law, B.P. Rice.
He is survived by his wife, Lois A. Zebro; his sons, Gregory and Lisa Zebro, and Ryan and Rachel Zebro; his daughters, Michelle Rice, of Kalispell, and Kathleen R. Blake, of Green Bay, Wis.; and his grandchildren, Miranda A. Blake, Darien Zebro, Hunter Danz, Ross Zebro, Mackenzie Zebro, Asher Rice, Altas Rice and Veda Blair-Rice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. at Risen Christ Catholic Church. Memorial contributions can be made in Ray's name to Wings Regional Cancer Support, P.O. Box 7852, Kalispell, MT 59904-7852.
