Leading by just three points with three minutes to play, the Glacier junior varsity turned on the jets, beating Stillwater Christian 61-48 on Tuesday night at Glacier High School.

“Glacier executed down the stretch, have to give them credit for that,” Stillwater coach Ted Clark said.

Cain Boschee scored 15 points and Charles Calobeer had 10 to lead the Wolfpack, which saw 10 different players score in the game.

The final push by Glacier overshadowed a brilliant game by Cougars senior Josh Bray, who scored 20 points and had seven rebounds in the loss. Noah Hashley had 10 points and seven rebounds for Stillwater.

Stillwater came back from a first quarter deficit to lead by one at halftime, 26-25. Glacier outscored the Cougars 15-12 in the third quarter before opening up the floodgates in the final minutes to outscore Stillwater by 11 in the final quarter.

The Cougars (8-6) will head to Great Falls on Friday to play Foothills Christian in an MCAA contest.

Glacier’s JV will host Helena High on Friday in a warmup to the Class AA varsity game later in the night.
