Ladies night - for a good cause

| January 23, 2013 7:00 PM

Just when you thought ladies night couldn’t get any better.

It’s that time again — time to mark your calendars for “The Vagina Monologues.”

If you’ve never been before, it’s time to put on your party pants and come join the revolution. If you’ve already seen it once, twice or five times, there’s always something new and exciting for the loyal audience member.

The show will be staged Feb. 6 and 7 at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.

This year the Abbie Shelter has upped the ante and is presenting a bona fide party before and after the show. Doors open at 6 p.m., followed by a silent auction. Come bid on designer purses, have a glass of wine and a cupcake (or two), and then laugh your tush off at this nationally acclaimed and award-winning play when the curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. A celebration and dance party follow the play.

Tickets are $15 in advance and are available at Fifty Seven Boutique, 217 Central Ave., Whitefish; The Lodge at Whitefish Lake; and finditflathead.com. Cost is $20 at the door.

It’s the ladies’ night out you won’t want to miss — and all men are welcome and encouraged to attend as well. (But leave the kids at home — this is definitely a show for adults.)

Come celebrate the movement to end violence against women and girls. All proceeds benefit the Abbie Shelter and victims of interpersonal violence.
