Crash victim identified

The 50-year-old Columbia Falls man who died in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning has been identified as Michael Koskela.

Koskela was driving east on Blackmer Lane shortly after 8 a.m. when his car drifted off the right side of the road, hit a private fence, continued through a yard and struck three trees.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected through the front passenger side window.

Koskela was pronounced dead at the scene.

Memorial services for Koskela are pending.

The accident remains under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
