Don't leave your keys in your car

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday regarding a silver Kia stolen from an East Idaho Street location. The keys apparently were left in the vehicle. 

After a traffic stop on Main Street, a woman was arrested, apparently for drunken driving.

There was a report of a sparkler bomb discovered by a security officer on Sunny View Lane. The sparkler bomb was disposed of.

The owner of a Ridgeview Drive residence reported that the house was ransacked sometime over the weekend, and a computer was missing.

There was a report of a man hitting a woman at a Fourth Avenue West address.

There was a report of an out-of-control, intoxicated woman breaking out the window of a vehicle on Seventh Avenue West.

There was a report of an intoxicated, stumbling man who was knocking on doors on College Avenue.

After sundown and into the night, there were multiple fireworks complaints from around the city.

There was a report of a shop broken into on Fifth Avenue West North, with a computer and television stolen, sometime over the weekend.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report from a Tangent Road resident in the Coram area who said there had been multiple thefts of firewood recently.

A woman calling from Queens Court reported that someone pushed over a gazebo on her property and damaged a mailbox.

Someone calling from Electric Avenue reported that neighbors had been partying nonstop for about three days, causing a disturbance.

A man calling from U.S. 2 east of Columbia Falls reported that he had been assaulted by another man due to a dispute over a property on Berne Road.

There was a report of  several people who appeared to be intoxicated, including one naked man, along Hungry Horse Dam Road near Lion Lake.

A woman was detained for shoplifting at a store on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen.

A Birch Grove Road resident reported that two motorcycles were stolen from his yard sometime over the weekend.

A woman calling from Twin Acres Drive reported that she wanted to press charges against her sister for assaulting her.

Just after midnight Monday, there was a report of an unwanted man refusing to leave a property on Helena Flats Road. The man eventually agreed to leave.

After a man reported that his wife had been assaulted by another man at a location on West Cottonwood Drive in Evergreen, the perpetrator was located and arrested.

Whitefish Police got a report from Birch Point Drive Sunday regarding the theft of a paddle boat.

There was a report of a very disorderly group of people in the Haugen Heights area. The people, who were cursing loudly, were advised to keep it down.

There was a report of a man passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle on Central Avenue. The man’s keys were confiscated.

There were at least eight complaints about fireworks around the city as sundown came around.

At about 12:30 a.m. Monday, a woman reported from Skyles Place that there was an intoxicated man outside punching her dog and screaming at her. The drunken guy claimed the dog attacked him. Both parties were counseled.

Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday from a man who said he found a dog in the Flathead River that was nearly lifeless. The man said he talked to a floater, who said there were people about six miles upstream who said they had lost their dog. The dog recovered and was eventually taken to the county animal shelter.
