Fourth of July events across NW Montana

Celebrate Independence Day across Northwest Montana with events from Arlee to Polebridge.

 

Kalispell

• Fourth of July Parade, Main Street, 10 a.m.

• Ice-cream social, Conrad Mansion, 11 a.m. Free.

• Fourth of July barbecue, Woodland Water Park, noon to 3 p.m. $3 admission; free barbecue.

• Fireworks viewing, Lone Pine State Park. See fireworks displays from Bigfork to Columbia Falls from the overlook hill. Park open until 11:30 p.m. Free for Montana-registered vehicles; $5 for nonresident vehicles.

 

Whitefish

• Fireworks display, City Beach, dusk.

 

Bigfork

• Pancake breakfast, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 121 Crestview Drive, 9 to 11 a.m. Free.

• Fourth of July Parade, Grand and Electric avenues, noon.

• Children’s carnival, following parade.

• “Ducks for Bucks” race, Swan River Wild Mile, 4 p.m..

 

Columbia Falls

• Doubleheader concert featuring the Ashley Creek Ramblers and Flathead Valleyaires, Don Lawrence Amphitheater, Marantette Park, 233 13th St. E., 7 p.m.

 

Lakeside

• Fourth of July Boat Parade, Lakeside Bay. Staging begins 1:30 p.m.; parade begins 2 p.m.

• Fireworks over Flathead Lake, 11 p.m. Simulcast over 107.3 FM starting at 10:30 p.m.

 

Polson

• Lemonade and baked goods sale, Polson Chamber, 10 a.m. to noon.

• Firecracker Fun Run, St. Joseph Medical Center, 11:45 a.m.

• Fourth of July Parade, noon.

• Ice-cream social, Polson Historical Museum, follows parade.

• Fireworks over Flathead River, 10:30 p.m.

 

Arlee

The Arlee Powwow kicked off Wednesday and continues today through Sunday. Free admission. Today is Old Style Day and will feature Salish/Pend d’Orielle celebration dances, snake dances and war dancing. Visit www.arleepowwow.com for a full schedule.

 

Polebridge

• Fourth of July Parade, noon (or so).

• Live music by the Bus Driver Tour, Northern Lights Saloon, 2 p.m.

 

Eureka

• Red, White and Blue Barbecue, Indian Springs Ranch, 3082 U.S. 93 N. Golf 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Gates open 4 p.m. for outdoor activities, barbecue, live music by the O’Connells and Smart Alex, and fireworks. Free admission

 

Troy

• Community worship service, Morrison Elementary baseball field, 9 a.m.

• Breakfast, Roosevelt Park, 9 to 11 a.m.

• Quilt show, Morrison Elementary gym, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Fourth of July Parade, 11 a.m.

• “Snow White,” Lincoln Theatre, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
