Mary Lucille King, 90
Mary Lucille King, 90, passed away July 5, 2013, at her home in Plains.
She was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Whitefish, to Ralph and Helen Payne.
She married to Wallace “Jim” King in 1945, and they were married for 40 years. She had one son, William “Billy” King.
She lived in Havre for many years, and also in Whitefish. She spent her remaining years with her sister and brother-in-law in Plains.
Mary belonged to the Northwest Montana Accordion Association. She loved to dance and pick huckleberries, until her strength wouldn't allow it. Mary enjoyed watching reruns of “Hee Haw” and “The Lawrence Welk Show” and never missed “Jeopardy,” “Wheel of Fortune” and the news.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son; sisters, Dot Smith and Jean Elam; and brother, Bob Payne.
Mary is survived by her brother, Ed Payne, and his wife, Pat, of Whitefish; sister, Carol Diesen, and her husband, Harlan, of Plains; five grandchildren of Washington; and many great-grandkids, nephews, nieces, and several special cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell.
