WHITEFISH — The Great Falls Chargers handed the Glacier Twins their first loss in the Sapa-Johnson Memorial American Legion baseball tournament late Friday evening.

Great Falls held the Twins to just three hits in a 6-1 victory.

The Twins topped the Meridian Rangers earlier in the day 8-4.

On Thursday in a late game, the Twins took a wild 11-10 contest from Lethbridge.

Against the Meridian Rangers, Austin Robins went 2 for 4 and drove in four runs for the Twins. Robins had the team’s lone extra-base hit — a double.

Jayce Fagerland and Peter Seymor also had two hits in that contest.

On Thursday, a Zac Darling RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning scored Austin Robins and gave the Twins the victory.

Lethbridge scored five times in the top of the seventh to take a 10-9 lead.

The tournament ends Sunday with the consolation final at 10 a.m. and the championship game at 1 p.m.
