'Giant storm of bees' in Whitefish

Whitefish Police got a report about a “giant storm of bees” on Central Avenue Sunday that were causing people to panic and flee. They were apparently honey bees, and the issue was resolved when a beekeeper removed a hive that was on a truck.

 

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday from a woman on Fourth Avenue East who said her unwanted ex-boyfriend was banging on her door and refusing to leave. The man eventually left.

There was a report of tires stolen from a residence on First Avenue East.

There was a report of a mountain bike stolen from an apartment complex off of U.S. 93 South.

Monday morning, a woman calling from Third Avenue West reported the theft of her husband’s wallet, and she claimed that someone was attempting to use a credit card in the wallet.

There was a report of a bicycle stolen from a residence on Hearst Drive.

 

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday regarding yard decorations stolen from a residence on North Hilltop Road in the Columbia Falls area.

There was a report of an underage drinking party at a location on Windriver Drive that led to one person who was bleeding from the nose and mouth requiring medical attention.

There was a report of two stray pygmy goats showing up at a residence on Conrad Drive.

A woman calling from Valley View Drive reported her boyfriend wouldn’t let her leave the residence.

A woman calling from Mountain Drive in Hungry Horse reported she was attacked by her daughter, who also stole her purse.

There was a report of a man assaulting a woman and her children at a residence on Rogers Lake Road in the Kila area.

There was a report of a security trailer broken into on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell. The trailer was ransacked, and radio equipment was stolen.

 

Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday regarding an argument that erupted among parents at a baseball tournament at the Columbia Falls fields. The altercation apparently was not over baseball; it had to do with Facebook postings. The people involved were separated and warned they would be ejected from the tournament if the arguing continued.

A man was arrested, apparently for partner-family member assault, after a report of a fight at a Diane Road residence.
