<p>Mission Valley Mariners first baseman Jeremiah Crawford fields a ground ball Friday evening during the John R. Harp Tournament at Archie Roe Field. Crawford had a big game at the plate, hitting two doubles and a home run in the Mariners’ 18-5 victory over the Edmonton Cardinals.</p>

<p><strong>AN EMERGENCY RESPONDER</strong> holds an intravenous line while others work to move one of the victims of a head-on collision on U.S. 93 two miles south of Whitefish shortly after 1 p.m. Friday. At right, other responders attend to a victim in the other vehicle. Three people were injured in the collision, two of them apparently suffering serious injuries. At least one victim had to be extricated from his vehicle with the use of the Jaws of Life. The Whitefish and Kalispell fire departments responded to the accident, which shut down all but one lane of the highway …
