Libby motorcyclist dies in crash near Kila
The man who died in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 2 near Kila on Sunday has been identified as Jeffrey Clark, 49, of Libby.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper David Mills said Clark was traveling eastbound at excessive speeds when he encountered and failed to negotiate a left curve on the highway.
Clark struck a guardrail and went over it while his motorcycle came to rest on the highway, Mills said.
Clark, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which was reported just before 5 p.m.
Mills said there was no indication of drug or alcohol use being involved with the accident.
