Russell Oren 'Rusty' Lammert, 60

Russell Oren “Rusty” Lammert, 60, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

Rusty was born on July 12, 1952, in Bowman, N.D., to Vernon and Ruth (Tweet) Lammert. 

He was raised in Montana, where he attended schools, graduating from high school. After high school, Rusty served in the U.S. Marines from 1970 to 1976. Rusty worked for the federal government for many years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion in Kalispell.

He was a wonderful guitarist who loved to entertain people with his music. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by four children, Amanda, Sandra, Andrew and Amy; siblings, Jody Lammert of Baldwin City, Kan., Jackie Sweat of Lacygne, Kan., Exa Gates of Neosho, Mo., Dixie Yates of Girard, Kan., Bonnie Luttrell of Kansas City, Mo., and Dallas Lammert of Shawnee, Kan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 10 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, and funeral services held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Bartholomew officiating. Interment will follow the service at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
