Whitefish Theatre offers free preview, 'cake-off'

Whitefish Theatre Company hosts a season preview party and “Great Cake-Off” June 26.

The free event takes place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center, 1 Central Ave., Whitefish.

The season preview party is the first chance to glimpse the theater and music productions planned in Whitefish Theatre’s 2013-14 season, which offers a lineup of nine theater performances, four concerts and one dance performance. 

Season highlights include Liverpool Legends, a not-to-miss Beatles tribute band; the highly energetic Celtic band Runa; the family-favorite musical “Oliver!” Tony-nominated plays “Other Desert Cities” and “Frozen”; and the dance troupe Khambatta Dance Co.

Season tickets will be on sale, offering a discount for all 14 music and theater events of Whitefish Theatre Company’s 35th season. Family passes and the build-your-own-ticket option will also be available to purchase.

Whitefish Theatre is also raffling off a full season pass for $5 per raffle ticket.

Those who are feeling creative can enter the Great Cake-Off during the same event. Grab some frosting and sprinkles to submit a themed cake for a chance to win season passes, tickets and other Whitefish Theatre merchandise.

Design a cake based on one of the upcoming theater or musical shows, and then sweeten the deal by bidding on your favorite cake design. Auction proceeds will support Whitefish Theatre’s all-kids show, “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.”
