Kalispell man challenges federal charges
A 60-year-old Kalispell man pleaded not guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court to child pornography charges.
According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Rodney Royce Miller pleaded not guilty to charges of receipt of child pornography and accessing child pornography with the intent to view.
If convicted of both charges, he faces between 15 and 40 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 and up to 5 years of probation. Miller is currently detained.
The investigation that led to the charges against Miller was a cooperative effort between the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation and United States Probation.
