Lorraine Pearison Nichols, 73

| March 2, 2013 10:00 PM

On Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, Lorraine Pearison Nichols “received her formal invitation to a grand ball in heaven thrown in her honor to welcome her home. And yes, Momma, I knew Jesus saved every dance for you.”

Lorraine was born Aug. 8, 1939, to James and Reah Pearison in Shelby, Ind. She was the youngest of three children. She had a much-loved brother, Gerald, who passed away too soon; and a sister, Avonelle, who still lives in Indiana.

Lorraine’s family moved to Buchanan, Mich., when she was very young. She grew up there and graduated from Buchanan High. This is where she married Larry Keller and they had four girls. Her girls were the love and light of her life.

Lorraine was one of the most loving and generous people we knew. If she had something, you could be sure she would share it. Her door was always open. She had the most amazing and contagious smile that seemed to come straight from God’s heart.

Our mother fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s and then in this last year, breast cancer, but through it all her girls were her greatest comfort and joy.

“We know you are at peace now and with your Lord and Savior, but we will miss you and keep you close in our hearts. We love you, Momma, so very much.”

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; her niece, Geri; nephews, Phil and Donny; and great-grandson, Rylan.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Roos, Lorry Hoback and husband Bob, and Becky Fischer, all of Kalispell, and Sherry Roden of Michigan. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Amber and Kinda of Georgia, Fallon of Kalispell, Rebekah, Sarah and Sam of Kalispell, Stephanie of Michigan, and David, Seirra and Joshua of Kalispell; eight great-grandchildren, Trenton, Bailey, Cassidy, Karson and Aspen of Georgia, Carstan of Michigan, and Mackenzie and Tianna of Kalispell; and two little ones whose arrival we are awaiting. Also a beloved sister, Avonelle; sister-in-law, Lela; nephew, Paul of Michigan; and nieces and nephews, Darrell, Lisa, Jeff and Shelley, all of Indiana.

Services for Lorraine are pending.
