Man needed help home from bar

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from Hungry Horse Boulevard regarding a person lying in the snow outside a bar. The person apparently was unable to get up. It turns out he was just across the street from his house, and he got help getting home.

Someone calling from Oakmont Lane in the Columbia Falls area reported witnessing, at that moment, people stealing firewood from a friend’s place.

BNSF reported that someone placed a large rock on the train tracks near Blankenship Road. The railroad requested extra patrols in the area.

A man calling from Arbour Drive reported the theft of a television from his residence.

An employee at a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen reported receiving a call from a man who cursed at him when he was unable to answer questions. The man showed up at the store about 10 minutes later and continued to curse at the employee, who told him to get out of the store. The foul-mouthed complainer was advised to never return to the store.

 There was a report from Emmons Canyon Road in the Kila area regarding a highly intoxicated man who left with a large pistol, making threats about harming his estranged wife. After nearly passing out at another residence, the man was temporarily detained.

There was a report of a highly irate man trashing a house on Tahoe Drive in the Kalispell area.

There was a report of a man and a woman threatening bartenders at a casino on Montana 35 after the couple were kicked out of the business.

A woman calling from Stoner Creek Road in the Lakeside area reported that an unwanted man was banging on windows and doors trying to get inside her home. The man was later contacted and advised not to return to her place.

At about 12:30 a.m. Monday, a woman reported that her unwanted and intoxicated husband kicked in a door at an apartment building on U.S. 2 East of Kalispell.

 

A woman reported to Kalispell Police that pain medication and other items were stolen from her home on North Meridian Road.

A woman showed up in the police department lobby to report that her brother has been trespassing at her Seventh Avenue East home, refusing to leave when asked.

A person calling from a store on U.S. 93 North reported the theft of a wallet, most likely by an employee at the store.

There was a report of a young man yelling profanity-laced poetry as he walked in the area of Fifth Street East and Second Avenue East.

There was a report of two men fighting inside a bar on U.S. 93 South, leading to one of the individuals being cited.

There was a report of an irate, intoxicated man yelling at people outside a bar on Airport Road. The man eventually left the area.

Just after midnight Monday, there was a report of a man and woman yelling at each other on Ponderosa Street, apparently over a runaway child. The teenage girl was later located and returned to her parents.

There was a report of a business broken into on South Main Street. The front door window was broken and money was reportedly stolen.

There was a report of a building vandalized with graffiti on U.S. 93 South.

There was a report of an employee caught stealing on video from a business on Third Avenue East North.

 

Whitefish Police got a report Sunday from a Third Street West address regarding a father abusing a toddler.

There was a report of an intoxicated woman staggering, falling down and throwing up in the area Wisconsin Avenue. An officer transported the woman to safety at a residence in the area.

At about 2:30 a.m. Monday, a man called from a hotel on Spokane Avenue to report that he doesn’t remember how he got to the hotel and he thought he had been drugged. The man said he thought he was in South Dakota.

 

After a traffic stop on Seventh Street West Sunday, Columbia Falls Police arrested a person for drunken driving.

A Second Avenue East resident reported that a tire on a vehicle had been slashed, and that the same thing happened to a neighbor’s vehicle.

 

After getting a report of suspicious activity, Polson Police arrested someone possessing alcohol near a restaurant on U.S. 93 early Sunday.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested someone for drunken driving near the intersection of U.S. 93 and Dublin Gulch Road Sunday.
