Randy Ward Shero, 52
Randy Ward Shero, 52, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 19, 1960, in Whitefish to Lucille and Clifford Shero. He grew up and attended school in Columbia Falls where he was a state champ wrestler for the Wildkats. After graduating from high school, he went to work for Canyon Logging.
In 1981 he married Ronda Felstet and they had two daughters together, Brandi and Brittany. At this time he started working at Plum Creek where he continued to work for the next 23 years.
They later divorced and he met Darleen Vollin in 1988, and they were married in 1993.
Randy was one of the most kindhearted, giving men you could ever meet. He loved helping people do whatever they needed done and would go out of his way to do it. His biggest joy was his grandkids.
He loved children and his eyes lit up when he was around them. He loved golfing, snowmobiling, softball, fishing and any other outdoor activity.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Ward and Florence Shero; and brother, Jack Stoltz.
He is survived by his wife, Darleen; daughter, Brandi Roth, and husband, Chad, of Kalispell; daughter, Brittany Ballensky, and husband, Brad, of Ventura, Calif.; stepson, Kevin Timmons, and wife, Kayla, of Kalispell; his siblings, Mike Stoltz, Cindy Warner, and Terri Webster and her husband Walt, all of Columbia Falls; his beloved aunt, Leila Klindt; grandchildren, Harlie and Kenlie Roth, Travis Proulx and Hailee Ballensky, Reikah Timmons, and soon- to-be Winston Timmons; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls, with a potluck-style reception to follow at the Eagles Club, also in Columbia Falls.
