Whitefish woman reports tax fraud

A Fir Avenue woman contacted the Whitefish Police Department after an unknown person filed taxes using her Social Security number. She had been advised to contact law enforcement after speaking with a representative of the IRS.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies took the car keys away from a man who was found passed out over the wheel of his sports car on Arbour Drive. He was not drunk; it was unclear why the man’s keys were taken.

Occupants of a non-smoking room at a Shady Lane hotel were reportedly smoking, and the manager was worried the building would catch fire.

A woman was ordered to go home after she was reportedly driving in circles in a U.S. 2 East parking lot and very intoxicated. Her roommate was advised that if the woman left, she would be arrested.

A roughly 20-year-old man was reportedly speeding up and down Empire Loop going about 65 miles per hour.

A Helena Flats woman reported her belief that someone is putting nails in her tires; it has happened three times in a month.

Kalispell Police officers arrested three boys for possession of drugs, possession of paraphernalia and being minors in possession of an unlawful intoxicant after conducting a consent search of their vehicle on Wolfpack Way.

The Coram-West Glacier Fire Department responded to a Corbett Lane home Friday afternoon after a fire was started in a Coram home by a heat lamp. The fire caused only minor damage to the home, and the homeowners had it knocked down before firefighters arrived.

A Second Avenue West woman contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department to report that someone used a picture of her and her cellphone number in an ad on Craigslist, and that she had two suspects.
