Fired employees suspected of theft, vandalism

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Monday regarding water lines being pulled from a building, resulting in flooding, and items being stolen from the building on U.S. 2 in the Marion area. The reporting party suspected recently fired employees might be responsible.

There was a report of a mailbox being stolen at a Shady Glen Drive residence.

There was a report of a vehicle being stolen from Steeles Drive in the Columbia Falls area.

A man calling from Bear Trail in the Whitefish reported that he has several neighbors who let their dogs run loose, and the dogs often “do their duty” in his yard.

A man calling from a location on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell reported that his workshop at his house had been broken into, but he was uncertain if anything had been taken.

There was a report of $70 in fuel being stolen from a store on Batavia Lane sometime Sunday night after the store was closed. The perpetrators were caught on video.

There was a report of a garage being broken into on Ashley Lake Road, with many items stolen.

Someone calling from Tamarack Lane reported the theft of a bicycle.

There was a report of four tires on rims being stolen from a location on Cobbler Village Terrace.

A mother calling from a Montana 35 address in Evergreen said that her daughter, who was recently released from juvenile detention, was being disorderly again.

Early Tuesday, at about 4:45 a.m., a man calling from U.S. 2 east of Kalispell said that he was approached in his vehicle by a woman who said she had been beaten. The woman, who was bleeding from her nose, was taken to an emergency room.

After a traffic stop on U.S. 93 North Monday, a man was arrested for theft, resisting arrest, obstructing law officers and various traffic violations by Kalispell Police.

There was a report of a possible shoplifter being combative with employees at a business on First Avenue East North. The employees wanted the man escorted from the business.

There was a report of a person shoplifting from a store, the day after the person was caught shoplifting at the same store on U.S. 2 West.

Early Tuesday, at about 2:40 a.m., a woman calling from Second Street West reported that a man whom she has a restraining order against was banging on her door, trying to force his way in. The man drove off, but was stopped and arrested on a restraining order violation, drunk driving, eluding officers, obstructing officers and resisting arrest.

There was a report of an intoxicated man repeatedly falling down while walking on Woodland Avenue.

Whitefish Police got a report Monday from a man calling from Sawtooth Drive who said he has been harassed by a disgruntled employee and the employee’s mother recently.

Columbia Falls Police arrested a woman on a warrant Monday at an Eighth Avenue East North residence.
