Woman jailed after alleged stabbing
A woman is in jail after allegedly stabbing her husband in the arm at their Libby home Thursday.
Sheriff’s deputies and Libby police were dispatched to 457 Wards Road shortly after 6:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing, according to a release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Upon their arrival they found Alvin Savage III, 35, bleeding from his left arm.
It appeared that Savage had been stabbed with a knife, and he had tied a shirt around his arm to control the bleeding. He was transported to St. Johns Lutheran Hospital, where he was treated and released about three hours later.
The knife was recovered at the scene, and Savage’s wife, 24-year-old Sara Hardin-Hutchinson, was arrested and booked into the Lincoln County Detention Center on preliminary charges of felony assault with a weapon, misdemeanor partner or family member assault and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of children.
