Chihuahuas accused of chasing boy

A Kalispell resident reported several small problems to the Kalispell Police Department after a neighbor wouldn’t put her four Chihuahuas on leashes and the dogs chased the resident’s son.

An employee of a U.S. 93 South restaurant reported a former employee who had been fired two weeks prior was stalking other employees.

A pair of shoplifters were apprehended at a Hutton Ranch Road business.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple dog calls throughout the valley Wednesday afternoon.

At 1:49 p.m., a pit bull was reported running around Mabel Street in Columbia Falls, nipping at people. The dog was contained by an animal control officer in the owner’s enclosed front porch. A note was left for the owner concerning the dog running at large and informing him that there is a warrant out for his arrest for unlawful hunting.

At 3:53 p.m., a man reported he was bitten by a pit bull on Fifth Street South East in Hungry Horse.

At 5:48 p.m., a Hungry Horse resident reported two dogs attacking another dog on Hungry Horse Boulevard.

At 6:53 p.m., a Fairmont Road woman reported a neighbor’s dog had killed several of her chickens.

A concerned bar patron reported there was a child of only 3 or 4 years old in a bar on U.S. 2 West in Columbia Falls, possibly the grandson of the bar’s owner.

An observant grandmother spoke with a probation officer after finding a “bowl of weed” and four lighters in her grandson’s bag on First Avenue North West in Hungry Horse.

A Flathead Drive man reported a 16-year-old neighbor refused to leave his property and then assaulted him. The man said he took the boy to the ground and then took him to his mother.

A 75-year-old River Place woman reported deputies broke her storm door during a prior medical call and she was unable to fix it.

A drunk and mostly naked woman caught the attention of the Columbia Falls Police Department after she passed out in a car on Nucleus Avenue. The homeowner reported hearing a horn blaring and looking out her window to see someone slumped over in her vehicle. Upon investigation, she found the woman, who was extremely drunk and wearing only a shirt.

A cab driver was attacked by a fare while he was transporting her on Ninth Street West. Eventually she calmed down, paid him and said that while she couldn’t remember where she lived, she could walk the rest of the way home.

An iPod was stolen on 13th Street West.

A drunk, belligerent woman was banned from a coin-operated laundry on U.S. 93 South after Whitefish Police officers were called to the scene.
