High-speed chase ends in arrest

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, along with Kalispell police officers and Montana Highway Patrol troopers, chased and arrested a man Thursday night who was first seen driving 70 mph on U.S. 2 coming into Kalispell before accelerating to 80 mph.

The motorist tried to lose his pursuers by turning around and turning off all his lights at one point before bailing out of the vehicle at the end of Meadow Court. The man then swam across Ashley Creek and continued to flee before eventually being apprehended and transported to the Flathead County Detention Center.

A Willow Glen Drive woman returned home Thursday afternoon to find her front door unlocked and what she suspected was blood on her front door. Nothing was missing from the home, and no evidence was uncovered that anyone had been inside. A deputy took two photos of the suspected blood.

A River Road woman called for advice on what her options are after her landlord entered her home without permission on three occasions while she was not home.

A boy on juvenile probation reportedly carrying knives and a realistic-looking pellet gun and high on methamphetamine was arrested on Toftum Lane and transported to the Flathead County Juvenile Detention Center.

The Kalispell Police Department received a call from the landlord of a Fifth Avenue East property, who reported another tenant has been complaining about tenants in the apartment above smoking marijuana. Although the tenant does not have a medical marijuana card, a man who frequents the apartment does.

A girl reported her 18-year-old male friend was dating a 13-year-old girl.

A man was arrested during a traffic stop on Woodland Avenue.

More than $1,000 was stolen from a Seventh Street West home when it was burglarized while the residents were gone for an hour.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle on Second Avenue West.

A bicycle was stolen on Third Avenue West.

The Columbia Falls Police Department briefly sought a 16-year-old boy reported as missing from his Third Avenue West home after he failed to return home Wednesday night. The runaway juvenile report was canceled after the boy showed up at school the next day.
