Christopher James Hall, 41
Chris “returned to his Heavenly Father” on March 19, 2013.
Chris was born Dec. 13, 1971, to Boyd and Jackie Hall in College Station, Texas. He was raised in Texas, Montana and Utah.
At age 17, Chris earned his Eagle Scout Award. He was an avid Scouter who loved Scouting and the values and principles it instilled in today's young Scouts. Chris served as Scoutmaster, encouraging many scouts to achieve their Eagle Scout rank. Chris was extremely proud when his two sons received their Eagle Scout rank at age 13.
He served as a commissioner on Melita Island the BSA summer camp, was trainer for the Northwest District, and sat on the local Eagle board. Chris was Wood Badge trained and loved to help others "catch the vision of Scouting."
Chris was an advocate of all religious faiths working harmoniously together to successfully achieve the best possible Scouting program for each and every boy. He always said, "every boy deserves a well-trained leader."
Chris served an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Fortaleza, Brazil, Mission. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different positions.
On June 11, 1993 Chris married Julie Butters in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.
Chris was a millwright for F.H. Stoltze Land and Lumber and enjoyed the friendships he made over the years with coworkers and associates throughout the valley.
From a young age Chris enjoyed stamp collecting and learning about other countries and their postal histories. He was currently president of the Glacier Stamp Club.
Chris is survived by his wife, Julie, and three children, Austin, Stratton and Kennedy. Chris is also survived by his mother; and siblings Frank and Cindy Hall, Kathy and Mark Noland, Susan and Scott Sayre, Dave Hall, Jon and Shana Hall, Mike and Amanda Hall, and Justin and Holly Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building, 1380 Whitefish Stage Road, Kalispell. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11:45 a.m., with funeral services to follow at noon. Burial will follow services in C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. All Scouters are invited to wear their BSA uniform to the funeral in tribute.
