Pet owners fight like cats and dogs
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was drawn into a dispute on Chinook Court West in Columbia Falls between residents fighting like the cats and dogs they owned.
The cat owners reported the dogs attacked their cat while the dogs’ owner laughed. The cat, they said, was now injured and limping. The dogs’ owner said the cat came on his property and the dogs chased it across the street.
Both parties were advised it would be in all their best interests to keep their animals on their own properties.
Officers arrested a rowdy 15-year-old girl on Rogers Lake Road in Kila after the girl cornered another girl, took her bike and chased her home before restraining her and throwing her on the ground. The victim had a restraining order against the girl at the time of the incident.
An observant passerby may have found drunken Waldo, reporting a very short, very drunk man wearing a white- and red-striped shirt and light blue pants — that he couldn’t seem to keep on — running through yards on Summit Avenue in Somers. The man was picked up by police and dropped off at another location.
A pair of kind motorists stopped to help a student who was in a fight with another student on Helena Flats Road.
A Chihuahua-dachshund cross named Chico was placed on doggie house arrest after biting a friend of its owner on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

A wily man failed to outrun Kalispell Police officers after initially being found passed out in his vehicle in the parking lot of a Country Way North church. The man eventually regained consciousness, became combative and fled on foot before being apprehended. He was arrested and transported to the Flathead County Detention Center.
A motorist became unhinged after his tire came unattached from his vehicle on Jellison Road. The man reported someone had loosened all the lug nuts on the tire while the vehicle was parked at his house.
