Boy's disturbing comment reported

A Woodland Avenue resident reported a boy with a perversion problem to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The resident said the boy exposed himself to the resident before the resident overheard the boy’s friend asking him what he was going to do and heard the boy respond, “I am going to hump the (expletive) out of their dog.” The resident was willing to support trespassing charges against the boy for the boy crossing the resident’s property.

Deputies were unable to locate a man, reportedly seen on Montana 35 in Kalispell, who was just released from prison a few weeks ago and who has since cut off his monitoring bracelet. The man has a history of assaulting police officers, robbery and escape, and was involved in a shootout with law enforcement in the past.

Questionable meat was the source of a call from a bartender at a Montana 35 bar, who reported a man was in the parking lot trying to sell what the bartender believed was meat stolen from a local supermarket. The man had been there for a week.

A man walking his dog along Bald Rock Road found a dead dog that had been tied to a tree with orange baling twine and shot in the head. A veterinarian believed the shot killed the dog instantly and it did not suffer.

A person reported being shot with a BB gun by a girl who had threatened that very action in the past. The report turned out to be unfounded.

A man was cited for criminal mischief after a Somers Road bar employee reported someone had broken a window, leaving behind only blood. The person had been seen by officers in the area several hours earlier, and he was located after the report and cited. He is not believed to have gone inside the building.

An East Evergreen Drive man was reported for throwing his dogs into the yard and beating his children.

An upset Stoner Creek Road resident in Lakeside complained that his schizophrenic neighbor got him fired.

An uncooperative drunk man was arrested for partner or family member assault on Rogers Road in Columbia Falls.

A person was arrested while deputies were executing a search warrant at an East Lakeshore Drive property in Whitefish.

A man was arrested after getting into a fight with a woman at a Maple Drive home.

A man turned himself in on a $5,000 warrant for felony burglary.

Roughly $6,000 worth of tools were stolen from a construction company on Beaver Lake Road in Whitefish, where another person also had painting tools stolen.


The Kalispell Police Department received a call from a man who wanted to know whether he could hold a peaceful demonstration in front of the gun show Saturday.

A report of a stop sign missing at the intersection of Third Avenue East and East Center Street turned out to be the result of a motorist driving the wrong way down a one-way street.

A group of eight youths approximately 15 years old stole a basketball from another boy on Begg Park Road and left, before dropping the ball and rolling it back to him. The boy was also concerned that the youths were smoking.

A couple — an underage girl and a man — were caught in the act in a vehicle on Third Avenue West.

A boy was reported for mooning a motorist on Woodland Avenue.

A First Avenue West resident complained about people renting next door to the trailer park dumping their bags of trash on trailer court property.

A man was arrested on a warrant while officers were investigating what turned out to be an unfounded report of drug activity on Second Avenue West.

A man and a woman were apprehended, separately, while attempting to shoplift from a Hutton Ranch Road store.


The Whitefish Police Department was able to debunk the concerns of a crossing guard on East Seventh Street who reported a suspicious black pickup truck that arrived before her and departed after, but did not pick up any children. It turned out to be a person visiting someone at a nearby rehabilitation business.

A motorized stalker was reported on Spokane Avenue, where a man in a truck revved his engine at a man and his friend walking down the road. The motorist then followed them, eventually pulling out a bat and showing it to the man walking.

An angry but unobservant man was arrested after hitting a woman in front of a Central Avenue bar in view of a bouncer.

A group of middle-school-aged boys were reportedly trying to break a bench in front of a Spokane Avenue building before creating a problem in the bathroom. They were banned from the property.

A Somers Avenue man complained that someone was giving his cellphone number to everyone, and that he was even getting calls from a credit department.


The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of a vicious Chihuahua chasing a boy on Martha Road and biting him, although it did not break the skin.
