Suzanne 'Sue' (Mestyanek) Healy, 74

Suzanne “Sue” (Mestyanek) Healy passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013. 

She was born to Slovak parents Joseph and Susan (Jasco) Mestyanek and was married to her husband James John Healy for over 50 years.

She is survived by her children, Jane and Bob Brown, and Michael and Nicole Healy; grandsons, Anthony Brown, Tim Brown and Eddie Brown; siblings, Diane Barbaro and Rocky, Larry Mestyanek and Judy, and Tom Mestyanek; sister-in-law, Sandra Mestyanek; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, James J. Healy Jr.; brothers, Joseph Mestyanek Jr., and Hal Mestyanek; and sister-in-law, Francis Mestyanek.

Sue was a pediatric nurse practitioner for over 30 years. She moved to Flathead Lake and ran Flathead Lake Bed and Breakfast with her husband on Yellow Bay for several years. She loved meeting people from all over the United States and sharing conversations with them. This was especially true with the International Fellows, who she hosted every year. Sue also enjoyed playing cards with the Yellow Bay ladies, knitting with the Knitting Club of Bigfork in the winter and having four-hour dinners with the neighbors. She also enjoyed sitting on the lawn watching the grandkids learn to water ski, picking cherries, making cherry jam, walking the Wild Mile and hiking in Glacier Park. 

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April  2 at St. Dominic’s Church in Benicia, Calif.
