Artist offers 2-day drawing workshops

| May 1, 2013 6:30 PM

Diana Neville Knowles will conduct three two-day drawing workshops in May.

Two will be held at the Bigfork Museum of Art and History. The first will be offered Sunday and Monday; a second session will take place May 19 and 20.

The third will be held May 13 and 14 at Northland Hobbies in Ashley Square Mall, Kalispell.

All classes will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All supplies are included, as well as lunch.

A model will pose for portrait and figure studies. Knowles will demonstrate techniques using her lifelong experience as a portrait painter in oil, pastel and watercolor.

Knowles’ portraits hang in homes, museums and boardrooms worldwide, including the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., where her portrait of first lady Pat Nixon is displayed in the Presidents’ Wives collection.

Knowles has developed a teaching style that enables even her least experienced students to obtain successful results. Students may be as young as 12 and up to any age. Her oldest student is 85.
