Flathead orchestra performs Tuesday

| May 1, 2013 7:30 PM

The Flathead High School orchestra will present its annual Spring Concert Tuesday.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Flathead High School auditorium. The concert will feature Flathead’s Concert and Chamber orchestras in a celebration of music and seniors.

The show will feature a variety of pieces, including music by Holst and Vaughan Williams, some bluegrass tunes, the Beatles and " I Dreamed a Dream" from “Les Miserables.” Both orchestras recently performed at the District Music Festival in Kalispell and will perform those pieces along with several others.

Orchestra members who performed at the District and State music festivals will also be honored, along with those who earned their orchestra letter or pins. Seniors will be recognized for all their hard work over the years.

The concert is under the direction of Sherry Simmons and is free and open to the public.
