Theater group seeks directors

Bigfork Community Players is recruiting play directors for the 2013-14 season.

Three productions will be performed in the fall and winter 2013 and spring 2014. The plays will be staged at the Bigfork Center for Performing Arts.

Anyone interested in directing a play is asked to email the group at bigforkcommunityplayers@gmail.com.

Those interested in directing should tell the Players something about themselves and the name of the play they want to direct. Applicants may submit more than one play for consideration and should let the Players know if they have a copy of the script for their suggested play.

The Players have several suggested productions they are interested in putting on for those who don’t have a play suggestion.

Plays of all types will be considered. Selection is based on suitability for the audience and possible participation of the largest number of people. This does not necessarily mean a large cast, but plays should have a place for everyone who wants to participate.

People who have not directed for Bigfork Community Players before should also include a short resume of their experience.

Applicants need not be a member of the group to be considered. The board of directors will meet with individual director prospects and make selections.

Bigfork Community Players is an amateur theater company that produces plays during the fall, winter and spring seasons in Bigfork. Membership is open to everyone. Those interested in becoming a member or wanting information about upcoming productions should visit www.bigforkcommunityplayers.com.
