Karly Tait has resigned as head girls basketball coach at Flathead High School after four seasons.

Tait submitted her resignation letter in late April.

Flathead advanced to state this past season for the first time since 2008. The Bravettes lost two straight at state to finish with an 11-11 overall record.

Flathead posted an 8-13 overall mark the year before.

Tait was not available for comment.

She was named the FHS head coach in June 2009. She had coached the Bravettes JV team the year before.

Tait coached Class B Cascade for five seasons, leading the Badgers to state for the first time in school history in 2007-2008. The Badgers won their first-round game, but dropped the next two.

Tait, a Polson standout, enjoyed a successful college career on the hard court playing for University of Montana Western.
