| May 11, 2013 4:13 PM

Donald “Don” G. Chick, 76, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at his home in Kalispell, with his wife Bula at his bedside.

Don was bon on Sept. 3, 1936, in Ashton, Idaho, to his parents Harry and Minnie Chick. He attended schools in Colorado, graduating from Loveland High School in 1954. He then entered the Navy, where he served, being honorably discharged in 1957.

Don married Bula Rose in 1960. Don and his family moved to Kalispell in September of 1975.

He was a master craftsman. You could tell him what you wanted on a scrap of paper, he would take measurements, then go to his small shop where he would make the project. Don was also a cabinet installer and made laminate or solid-surface tops.

His big dream was to be a master fly fisherman and catch the big one.

He is survived by his wife, Bula, and children, Joann and Kim Tkachyk, all of Kalispell, Jerry and Natalya Chick, of Chandler, Ariz., and Jeannie and Ron Keller of Kalispell; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Josh, Kerrie, Leah and Hunter Tkachyk, Britt, Rocky, Sawyer and Riley Goulet, Aaron, daughter Sofia Tkachyk, Brooke and Derek Klemm, and Rachael and Caitlin Keller.

Don will leave a big hole in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at Creston Cemetery.

The family is being taken care of by Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory. To send condolences to the family, please go to www.buffalohillfh.com.
