Softball: Pirates wreck Anaconda
ANACONDA — Jessica Bagnell batted 3 for 5 as Polson battered Anaconda 10-1 in a nonconference softball game Tuesday.
Jaylin Kenney, Jordyn Evertz and Jaiden Toth each went 2 for 4 for the Pirates.
Shalaina Duford went the distance in the circle, allowing no earned runs on seven hits and three walks. She struck out three.
Kaelen Wall led off the second inning with a triple and scored on Hannah Potter’s sacrifice fly to give Polson (19-1) a 1-0 lead. The Pirates added two more runs in the third before Anaconda answered with one in the bottom of the frame.
Toth, Kenney and Bagnell hit RBI-singles in the fourth to put Polson ahead 6-1.
The Pirates host Libby in a Northwestern A conference game on Friday.
