Track: Wolfpack, Bravettes shine at divisional meet

HELENA — The Glacier boys are holding down first place while the Flathead girls are sitting second after first-day action at the Western AA divisional track meet on Friday at Vigilante Stadium.

Glacier, led by first-place finishes from Troy Fraley in the 3,200 (9:21.62), Kyle Griffith in the long jump (21-8 3/4) and Todd Ogden in the javelin (201-5), have 58 points. Missoula Big Sky is second with 54.

Jacelyn Rauthe won the long jump (16-11) and Flathead’s 400 relay posted the best time (48.86) to help the Bravettes scored 43 points.

Missoula Hellgate leads with 46.

Flathead’s Zach Perrin won the 800 (1:54.56). The Braves are fifth with 29 points.

The Glacier girls are fifth with 30 points.
