Info sought about dead grizzly
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking information about a dead grizzly bear investigated last Thursday in the Star Meadow and Sanko Creek area northwest of Kalispell. The initial investigation found the light-colored bear died from a gunshot wound.
Anyone with information about the bear’s death is urged to call (800) TIP-MONT or call Game Warden Chris Crane at (406) 249-6231. Callers can remain anonymous, and a reward may be available.
Sunday night, a Bigfork woman and her friend were playing around and accidentally hand-cuffed themselves together. The woman didn’t have the keys and asked if the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office could send a deputy to get them out of the cuffs.
Earlier, around 10:30 p.m., someone reported people dancing around a car playing loud music in a school parking lot on Montana 35. The caller thought it was way too late for that kind of activity.
A Foy’s Lake Road man said a German shepherd came to his house and killed one of his chickens.

Early Monday, a Sunset Drive woman and her ex-boyfriend were arguing about their vehicle and house. He allegedly threatened to come and stick a rag in the van’s gas tank and blow it up.
A caller at a gym reported having more problems with a man exposing himself.
Just before midnight Sunday, Montana Highway Patrol responded to a crash with injury on U.S. 2 west of Marion. The crash involved a truck and a horse trailer that went off the road.
Sunday evening, a Park Avenue woman told Whitefish Police she found a bike in a field by her house and would like to hang onto it if it hasn’t been reported missing or stolen.
Monday morning, a Sixth Avenue East woman told Kalispell Police that it looked like someone got into her garage Sunday night. Her bike was mysteriously moved around into the backyard.
A Fifth Avenue East woman also suspected someone was in her backyard Sunday night. She found a cowboy hat on the porch, and some things in the garage were disrupted.
The owner of a pit bull was cited after the dog got loose and was reportedly fighting another dog near Elrod School while students were walking past.
Someone reported $42 stolen from a locker at Glacier High School.
A man reported a cop car parked on the left side of the street facing the wrong way less than 20 feet from the intersection of South Main Street and Fifth Street East. An officer later advised the vehicle was moved.
Sunday evening, a man released from jail that morning said he wanted his sleeping bag and belongings back.
No one was hurt when the driver of a red Ford Explorer hit a bicyclist at Two Mile Drive and Hawthorn Avenue.
