High school students get to study tranquilized bear

Flathead and Glacier High School students watched as Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks bear specialist Erik Wenum took measurements of a black bear on Monday morning at the H. E. Robinson Agricultural Education Center in Kalispell. Wenum brought the tranquilized bear to the vo-ag center to demonstrate bear biology. The 4-year-old bear was trapped on Crane Mountain near Bigfork after getting into residents' garbage.
